The 'Whole Performer'
Sport involves setting targets and completing tasks. This often demands a singular focus until the particular task or goal is achieved. However when it comes to the person/the performer, we will never be “complete” the way a task will, we are all an ongoing work in progress. To fulfil our potential in life and in sport, we need to pay attention to the ‘whole’ because nothing in life or in sports performance works in isolation. A ‘whole performer’ view means stepping back and seeing a bigger picture…..of the person, the performer and their environment. As a clinical sport psychologist, sport scientist and research scientist, I have the breadth of knowledge and experience to identify the interaction of various moving parts with your specific goals. Think about how the various areas of your life and your training overlap. What could happen if you made some small changes? Be Curious. Be your Potential. In Sport. In Life.
